1) Internal Regulations for Employee Conduct
Committing any of the following acts is considered as legal grounds for immediate dismissal.
a) Theft or embezzlement of any assets belonging to guests or other employees. b) Presenting false documents when applying for employment. c) Performing the duties assigned under the influence of drugs or alcohol. d) indecent behavior, including gambling or quarreling on hotel premises, as well as any form of extortion, blackmail in detriment to the residents, guests superior officers, sub-ordinate officers and colleagues. e) Refusal to obey to superior officers, use of foul and inappropriate language in the work environment. f) Immoral or offensive conduct, or encouragement of such conduct g) Smoking in non designated area. h) Non compliance with work shift, as well as unjustified absence from work or departure from work place without permission. i) Unjustified presence at guest or resident events within or even outside hotel premises. j) Non compliance with the uniform code including the name tag. k) Use of non designated space for consumption of food and drink. l) Absence without notification of management for 3 consecutive days.
2) Disciplinary Measures
Disciplinary measures will be taken against any employee that commits any of the following offense. Management places the utmost importance and will deal with extreme severity which depending on the breach of the term may result in the dismissal without prior notification or compensation of the employee/s in question.
a) Misuse or theft of hotel assets. b) Use of foul language or insulting a resident, guest, colleague, superior officer or management. c) Possession or use of alcoholic beverages, drugs or coming to work under the influence of the above. d) Possession or trafficking of dangerous items, rude foul and indecent behavior or coercing others to do so. e) Deliberate disobedience to directions or commands of a superior officer or repetitive breach of the hotels rules and regulations. f) Deliberate absence or repetitive delayed arrival to work. g) Sleeping on duty. h) Deliberate damage to hotel property and assets, use of hotels equipment or machinery without permission. i) Forgery. j) Gambling.
3) Hygiene and appearance
The employees must always take care of their personal hygiene and sanitation. They have to always be clean tidy. To wear always clean and ironed clothes, shined shoes, clean and cut nails, showered and combed hair, men should shave everyday and women should not wear very strong perfumes or too much make up or too much jewelry.
4) Changing rooms and Lavatories
The changing rooms and lavatories cover the basic personal needs of the employees and therefore should always be kept in pristine condition. Each employee wearing a uniform will be afforded free of charge a locker within the changing rooms. It will be the employee’s responsibility to keep the locker in an immaculate state. The hotel will charge the employee in case the keys of the locker are lost. The hotel does not accept any liability in case of loss or theft of part or the whole contents of any locker. Food and beverages or dangerous items are strictly prohibited within the lockers. The management reserves the right to inspect without prior notification any locker at any time.
5) Accidents Injuries and Illness
For any accidents or injuries while on duty the employees have to refer the incident to management.
6) Packages and Parcels
It is strictly prohibited to transfer any packages, parcels, suitcases, purses etc outside of hotel premises unless written permission is given by the manager. The management reserves the right to inspect any luggage’s or items carried by the employees during entry and exit from the hotel.
7) Lost items
Any money or items found within hotel premises must be handed over to the management. The following details will be registered in the lost and found book: date, name, place where found, description, name of employee. If within 6 months the owner of the item doesn’t ask for it then it will be returned to the employee that found it.
8) Absence form work
If for any reason you are unable to come to work then you must immediately notify management. If you are ill then you have to submit on the same day if possible in the morning a doctor’s certificate. |
