CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS
12 February, 2003

The College of Tourism and Hotel Management, respecting its students cultures and backgrounds, arranged for a 10-hour feast in order to celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Goat, on Friday, 31 January, 2003.

The program took place in Club Pepper, the College's cafeteria, and was attended by more than 100 students and their guests. The program, which started at 2 pm and lasted until after midnight, consisted of innovative and exciting sessions:

A live broadcast of the National Chinese TV New Year Eve's entertainment program, took place between 2 and 6 pm. The stunning program was shown on a big screen via satellite connection with CCTV.

Following a short break and dinner, from 8 to 10 pm, was a most enjoyable karaoke session - shame there weren't any talent scouts! The karaoke party was immediately followed by a disco party, and the fun went on until the early hours.

The event was an excellent example of experience education, which means that students not only study, but are offered the opportunity to have memorable experiences during their studies and stay in Cyprus.
