Senior Lecturers
DR. Ioannis Pagkalos: (PT)
Dr. Ioannis Pagkalos is a part-time lecturer specialising in Nutrition Informatics, with a strong academic background in computer science and digital technologies. He holds a BSc in Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Science from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as an MSc in Web Technology with distinction from the University of Southampton. His expertise lies in the intersection of computing, data-driven systems, and health-related applications, bringing a strong technological perspective to nutrition informatics, digital health platforms, and data analysis in educational and applied contexts.
DR. Anna Papageorgiou: (PT)
Anna Papageorgiou is a clinical dietitian and academic with extensive experience in nutrition, physical education, and health promotion. She holds a PhD in Nutrition from the Agricultural University of Athens, an MSc in Nutrition from Queen Elizabeth College, University of London, and a BSc in Biology and Nutrition. Anna has worked in hospitals, public health institutions, and national health programmes, including the Ministry of Health and major paediatric hospitals in Greece. Her professional and research work focuses on clinical nutrition, childhood obesity, public health nutrition, and physical activity. She has also been actively involved in teaching and postgraduate programmes in nutrition and dietetics in Greece and Cyprus.

Antonis Thrassou: (FT)
Antonis Thrassou is a lecturer with extensive experience in business and hospitality education. He holds an MA in Business Management from the University of Wolverhampton, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the College of Tourism in Nicosia, a B.A. in Hospitality Management from Bournemouth University, and a Higher Diploma in Hotel Administration from the College of Tourism. He has also completed the ICAEW Professional Stage exams and holds certifications from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute in housekeeping operations and hospitality accounting. Antonis has a long-standing career at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management, where he continues to teach, and previously lectured at Casa College and Americanos College. His professional background also includes roles in the tourism and airline sectors, bringing strong expertise in management, accounting and hospitality operations.
​Andreas Christoforou: (FT)
Andreas Christoforou is a Senior Lecturer in Food & Beverage Management with extensive academic and professional experience. He holds a Diploma in Hotel Management and Certificate in Food & Beverage Operations from Hotelconsult SHCC College in Switzerland, a BSc in International Hospitality Management from the International College of Hospitality Administration in Brig, Switzerland and an MBA in Marketing. Andreas has held senior roles in hotel operations, tourism management, and training, and he is the owner and senior trainer of C.A.C Consulting and Educational Services Ltd. He also delivered specialized management, leadership, and customer-service training both in Cyprus and internationally, and he continues to lecture in hospitality, food & beverage management, and marketing.
Dr. Lefteris Colocassides: (FT)
Eleftherios M. Colocassides is an experienced lecturer and education professional with a strong professional with a strong academic background in human resource management, marketing, and communication. He holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from the European University of Cyprus, an MSc in Human Resource Management and Development from the University of Manchester, an MSc in Marketing from the University of Bedfordshire, and a BA in Media Production from the University of Sunderland, as well as a Diploma in Communication from Intercollege Cyprus. Lefteris has extensive experience in higher education, academic administration, career guidance, and international operations, and has held roles combining teaching, student support, and institutional development. He brings strong expertise in human resources, leadership, communication, and student development within academic and professional settings.
Roxana Michaelides: (FT)
Roxana Michaelides is an experienced lecturer and hospitality professional with an extensive background in tourism, hospitality management, and service quality. She holds an MA in Hotel and Restaurant Management from H.I.B.S., Austria, and a BA in International Hospitality Management from the College of Cambridge, along with additional qualifications in tourism and languages. She has taught at several higher education institutions in Cyprus and abroad and is currently a lecturer at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management. Her academic and professional experience includes hospitality operations, tourism development, quality of services, and cultural tourism, supported by active involvement in research, conferences, and industry consultancy.

Dr. Sotiris Hadjigeorgiou: (FT)
Sotiris Hadjigeorgiou is an experienced hospitality professional and academic with a strong background in hotel operations, culinary management, and business leadership. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Northcentral University, along with a master’s degree in hospitality management and Tourism Management from Sheffield Hallam University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management and a Higher Diploma in Cookery. Sotiris has held roles ranging from kitchen and hotel operations to senior management, gaining wide experience in staff supervision, operational planning, and quality service delivery. His teaching is enriched by many years of practical industry experience, offering students a solid connection between theory and real-world hospitality practice.
Elena Panayiotou, (PT)
Elena Panayiotou is an experienced lecturer in business and accounting with a solid academic background in economics and management. She holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Cyprus, an MBA from the Mediterranean Institute of Management, and is currently a PhD candidate in Business Administration at the European University of Cyprus. She has extensive teaching experience across colleges and universities, delivering courses in accounting, finance, economics and management. Elena has also served in academic leadership roles, including Head of Business Studies and Accounting, where she contributed to curriculum development, program coordination, and quality assurance. Her professional background includes roles in accounting and office management, giving her strong practical and analytical skills that enhance her academic work.
Chrysostomos Adamides: (FT)
Chrysostomos Adamides is an experienced lecturer and administrator with a strong background in business, finance, and international education. He holds an MSc in Finance from Durham University, a BA in business Law with Accounting from the University of North London, and an AML Certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School. He is also a DBA candidate in the Executive Doctor of Business Administration program at ‘Ecole des Ponts Business School. Chrysostomos has served as Director of Administration and Director of the International Office at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management, where he coordinated academic, international, and marketing operations. His experience includes extensive international collaboration, participation in European programs, and teaching in areas such as small business management, financial management, and business law. He brings strong organizational, strategic planning, and intercultural communications skills to his academic work.

​Anna Kokhanets (PT)
Anna Kokhanets is a lecturer with strong academic and professional experience in hospitality, international relations and event management. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of Indianapolis/Intercollege, a Master of Arts in International Relations, a BA in Hospitality Management from Bournemouth University and the College of Tourism & Hotel Management, a Higher Diploma in Hotel Administration, and a Hospitality Management Diploma from AHLA. Anna has worked in hotel management, corporate administration, translation, and international event coordination, and has been teaching hospitality and events management courses since 2004. She has also delivered training in multicultural communication and has participated in high-level conferences and business forums. Her areas of expertise include hospitality management, events management, communication, and international service standards.

Dr Christos Ioannou: (PT)
Christos Ioannou is a Lecturer in Business Administration with extensive academic and professional expertise in accounting, finance and management. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Nicosia, an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester, and a BA (Hons) in International Accounting from the University of Northampton. He is also a Certified Financial Consultant (IFC, USA), a Chartered Manager (Canadian Institute of Management), and a Certified Management Accountant (ICMA Australia). Since 2016, he has been teaching at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management, where he also supervises BA and MBA programs. His background includes lecturing at the University of Nicosia and Intercollege, serving as a financial controller in industry, and delivering seminars on management, finance, and business strategy. Christos has published professional articles and remains active in several international management and financial associations.

​Dr Maria Hassapidou: (PT)
Maria Hassapidou is a lecturer and researcher with a strong academic background in nutrition and food science. She holds a PhD in Nutrition from the Democritos Research Center in collaboration with the Argicultural University of Athens, an MSc in Nutrition from Queen Elizabeth College, University of London, and a BSc (Honours) in Biology and Nutrition from the University of North London. She also holds a Diploma of Higher Education in Food Science and Nutrition from NorthEast London University. Her academic expertise focuses on nutrition science, research methodology, and higher education teaching.
Dr Anna Zoirou: (PT)
Dr Anna Zoirou is an economist and senior business consultant with extensive experience in financial management, European affairs, and public administration. She holds a PhD in Applied Economics and an MBA from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, as well as a BSc (First Class) in Business Administration from the Higher Technological Educational Institution of Athens. Dr Zoirou has held senior executive and advisory roles in Greece and the European Union, including Deputy Chief Executive Officer at “St. Sophia” Children’s Hospital and senior scientific advisor at the European Parliament and the Greek National Parliament. Her professional background spans academia, government, and the private sector, with expertise in financial management, economic policy, and strategic consulting.
Dr Alkiviades Karagiorgou: (PT)
Dr. Alkiviades Karagiorgou is a part-time lecturer in Business Administration and Accounting with a strong interdisciplinary academic background in management, information systems, and finance. He holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus, a Master’s degree in Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Macedonia, and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Macedonia. His academic profile supports a data-informed and analytical approach to business decision-making, integrating accounting, financial analysis, and information systems within modern organisational contexts.
Eliza Makridou: (PT)​
Eliza Markidou is a Senior Clinical Dietitian and Nutrition Coordinator at the Ministry of Health of Cyprus, with over three decades of experience in clinical nutrition, public health, and nutrition policy. She has held senior leadership roles in hospitals and national health services and has served as President of the American Overseas Dietetic Association and President of the NGO BONE VIVO. Her work includes coordination of national and European nutrition programs, WHO collaborations, childhood obesity prevention initiatives, and academic teaching. She is widely published, an international speaker, and an active advisor to governmental and European bodies on nutrition, public health, and healthy lifestyle policy.

Constantinos Adamides: (FT)
Constantinos Adamides is a Computer Science Lecturer and IT Administrator at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management, where he has been working since 2007. He teaches computer applications, student admissions, and the college’s IT infrastructure. He holds a Certificate in Computer Science, a BSc in Computer Science, and an MSc in Computer and Network Security from the Open University of Cyprus. His professional experience includes managing computer laboratories, network systems, and providing technical support, alongside delivering IT-related academic courses. Lastly, he is the Info. Com. Technology Administrator and GDPR officer.

Paraskevi Stavrou: (PT)
Paraskevi Stavrou is a Lecturer in Law and Business Administration at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management, where she also serves as the Erasmus Coordinator. She holds an LLB Law Degree from Middlesex University (UK) and a Master in Business Administration from the College of Tourism and Hotel Management. She has been admitted to the Cyprus Bar and has practiced as corporate lawyer for seven years, gaining extensive experience in corporate, commercial and litigation matters, as well as earlier experience in legal reporting in London. Paraskevi is also an accredited Mediator in Civil and Commercial Matters. Her teaching focuses on law-related subjects, and she actively contributes to academic support and Erasmus program coordination within the College.

Susan Katri Elfving: (PT)
Susan Elfving is a lecturer with multidisciplinary academic background in tourism, hospitality, and travel studies. She holds a Master of Science in International Tourism Management from Sheffield Hallam University and a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from the College of Tourism and Hotel Management, along with additional diplomas in travel, aviation, and fashion studies. Her teaching experience covers areas such as tourism, sales techniques, food and beverages controls, fares and ticketing, and human relations. She contributes practical industry-oriented knowledge to her teaching in tourism and hospitality programmes.

Dede Erasmia: (PT)
Erasmia Dede is an experienced language teacher with a strong academic background in ENGLISH, Greek and foreign-language instruction. She holds BA in English and Greek Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MA in teaching Greek as a Foreign/Second Language from the University of Nicosia. She has more than a decade of teaching experience in private institutes, language schools, and one-to-one tuition, working with learners of various ages and levels. Erasmia has also completed numerous professional seminars in linguistics, teaching methodology, and educational technology, and is certified in several European languages. Her work is characterized by a strong commitment to student progress, creative teaching approaches, and a passion for culture and communication.​

Evanthia Papachristoforou: (PT)
Evanthia Papachristoforou is an experienced lecturer in Marketing and Public Relations with a strong academic and professional background. She holds an MSc in Marketing from Glasgow Caledonian University and a BA (Hons) in Public Relations with a specialization in Marketing from Philips College. Evanthia has extensive teaching experience across higher education institutions, delivering modules in marketing, public relations, international marketing, services marketing, and organizational behavior. She has also contributed to academic administration, student assessment, and curriculum development, and has participated in various academic publications and seminars. She brings strong expertise in marketing communication, teaching methodology and student support.

Haritine Michael is a lecturer in English language with an academic background in English studies and language teaching. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Reading and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Cyprus. Her teaching focuses on academic writing, language enhancement, vocabulary development, and practical language use. She contributes to the delivery of English language courses that support students’ academic and professional communication skills.

Michael Argyrou: (PT)
Michael Argyrou is a lecturer with an academic background in English Studies, political sciences, and human resource management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and Bachelor’s degree in political sciences from the University of Cyprus, as well as a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior from the Cyprus International Institute of Management. Gregoris Demetriou is a lecturer with an interdisciplinary academic background in business administration, finance, marketing and engineering. He holds a PhD in Business Administration from the European University Cyprus, and MSc in European Policy Law and Management from Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen, UK), and BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Westminster, London. His teaching focuses on financial management, financial reporting, and marketing management, combining analytical, managerial, and technical perspectives.

Philippos Drousiotis: (PT)
Philippos Drousiotis has a long career in Tourism specializing in Sustainable & Special Interests Tourism. He has worked as a GM in various hotels & as an Area Manager for Cyprotels Hotels & Resorts & has served as their Business Development Manager in Cyprus & Greece. He is a Part-time Lecturer in the Subjects of ‘Sustainable Tourism’ & ‘Environmental Management for Tourism & Hospitality’ at the University of Nicosia. He was on the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Hotel Managers Association & has a wide network in the Tourism Industry in Cyprus. He is the Executive Chairman and Co-founder of CSTI. He has played a vital role in all the projects of CSTI in close cooperation with all the stakeholders of the tourism industry including the Ministries of Tourism, Education & Environment. He has a BA in Econ, Math & Business. He has an MSc in Applied Math & an MBA from the University of Iowa, USA. He has been a guest speaker at conferences in Cyprus & abroad on “Sustainable Tourism”, “Tourism & Climate Change” & “Special Interests Tourism”. He provided consultancy services on Sustainable Development & Special Interests Tourism in Cape Verde through the U.S. Millennium Cooperation. He has given lectures to students from Cyprus & abroad & has written articles on subjects on Special Interests & Sustainable Tourism.
