BA IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

​

This program of study is an internationally recognized degree program and it is accredited by the CYQAA. The emphasis remains upon excellence of teaching and academic distinction. Students study during the winter months and work for four months during the summer in leading hotels all over Cyprus.  During their work placement they get paid approximately Euro 600 per month.

​

The overall aims and objectives of this program of study are to produce students, who have the ability, knowledge and skills to become competent managers in a rapidly changing hospitality and tourism industry and to foster an analytical and creative approach to problem solving and encourage independent judgment and critical self awareness. Graduates of this program may continue their studies at a post graduate level.

Antonis Thrassou, Senior Lecturer

Antonis Thrassou is a lecturer in Business and Hospitality Management with extensive experience in higher education and professional training. His academic background focuses on management, hospitality operations, and business administration.

Andreas Christoforou, Senior Lecturer

Andreas Christoforou is a Senior Lecturer in Food & Beverage Management with extensive academic and professional experience in hospitality operations and tourism management. Andreas has held senior roles in hotel operations, tourism management, and training.

Anna Kokhanets, Senior Lecturer

Anna Kokhanets is a lecturer with strong academic and professional experience in hospitality, international relations and event management. Anna has worked in hotel management, corporate administration, translation, and international event coordination, and has been teaching hospitality and events management courses since 2004.

Dr. Christos Ioannou, Senior Lecturer

Christos Ioannou is a Lecturer in Business Administration with extensive academic and professional expertise in accounting, finance and management. Since 2016, he has been teaching at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management, where he also supervises BA and MBA programs.

Dr. Sotiris Hadjigeorgiou, Senior Lecturer

Sotiris Hadjigeorgiou is an experienced hospitality professional and academic with a strong background in hotel operations, culinary management, and business leadership. Sotiris has held roles ranging from kitchen and hotel operations to senior management, gaining wide experience in staff supervision, operational planning, and quality service delivery. His teaching is enriched by many years of practical industry experience, offering students a solid connection between theory and real-world hospitality practice.

Eleftherios M. Colocassides is an experienced lecturer and education professional with a strong professional with a strong academic background in human resource management, marketing, and communication. Eleftherios has extensive experience in higher education, academic administration, career guidance, and international operations, and has held roles combining teaching, student support, and institutional development. He brings strong expertise in human resources, leadership, communication, and student development within academic and professional settings.

Roxana Michaelides, Senior Lecturer

Roxana Michaelides is an experienced lecturer and hospitality professional with an extensive background in tourism, hospitality management, and service quality. She holds an MA in Hotel and Restaurant Management from H.I.B.S., Austria, and a BA in International Hospitality Management from the College of Cambridge, along with additional qualifications in tourism and languages. She has taught at several higher education institutions in Cyprus and abroad and is currently a lecturer at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management. Her academic and professional experience includes hospitality operations, tourism development, quality of services, and cultural tourism, supported by active involvement in research, conferences, and industry consultancy.

Constantinos Adamides, Lecturer

Constantinos Adamides is a Computer Science Lecturer and IT Administrator at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management, where he has been working since 2007. He teaches computer applications, student admissions, and the college’s IT infrastructure. His professional experience includes managing computer laboratories, network systems, and providing technical support, alongside delivering IT-related academic courses.

Paraskevi Stavrou, Lecturer

Paraskevi Stavrou is a Lecturer in Law and Business Administration at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management, where she also serves as the Erasmus Coordinator. She has been admitted to the Cyprus Bar and has practiced as corporate lawyer for seven years. Paraskevi is also an accredited Mediator in Civil and Commercial Matters. Her teaching focuses on law-related subjects, and she actively contributes to academic support.

Erasmia Dede, Lecturer

Erasmia Dede is an experienced language teacher with a strong academic background in ENGLISH, Greek and foreign-language instruction.
