CRED-LAB launched: advancing trusted digital micro-credentials

  • 1 min read

We are pleased to announce the launch of CRED-LAB, a project funded under the RESTART 2016–2020 Programmes of the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF).

CRED-LAB focuses on the development of a tokenised digital credentialing platform for micro-certifications, enabling organisations to issue credentials that can be verified instantly through secure, signed links.

The project addresses a critical gap in the education and training ecosystem: the need for fast, reliable, and low-friction verification of skills and achievements. By simplifying both issuance and verification, CRED-LAB aims to support training providers, employers, and learners in building trust in digital credentials.

During the project, we will design and validate a practical issuance-to-verification workflow, including credential status control and revocation mechanisms, while assessing key use cases and market opportunities.

Follow our journey as we develop and validate new approaches to digital credentialing.

I’m definitely going to try out the tips you mentioned here and see how they work for my current project this weekend.
